Ingredients
Tuna Steak:
2 (113g-170g) ahi tuna steaks
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp toasted black sesame seeds
2 tbsp toasted white sesame seeds
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Dressing:
Juice 1 lime (about 3 tbsp)
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
2 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 tsp honey
Salad:
4 cups loosely packed arugula
½ of an Asian pear, thinly sliced
2 radishes, thinly sliced
1 mini cucumber, thinly sliced
Preparation
Grill/Griddle
Season tuna steaks all over with salt and pepper. In a shallow plate, combine black and white sesame seeds and gently press tuna steaks into seeds to coat them on all sides.
Place Grill/Griddle plate on Cooker and touch the STEAK button. Touch the - / + to adjust desired temperature.
Heat oil until hot. Add tuna steaks and sear for 30-60 seconds per side, depending on desired doneness. Transfer to clean cutting board.
To make salad: In a medium bowl, whisk together dressing ingredients. Season with salt and pepper.
In a large bowl, combine all salad ingredients. Add dressing and toss gently. Slice tuna.
Divide salad between plates and top with tuna. Serve.
