Serves:

9 Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1lb (454g) fresh ground beef

  • 2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper, for coating patties

  • Vegetable oil

  • 9 slices of thick cheddar cheese, cut to fit over sliders

  • 9 slider buns

  • 9 pieces of red leaf lettuce, cut to fit over sliders

  • 9 slices of tomato, thinly sliced

  • Onion slices, thinly sliced

  • Pickles (optional)

Preparation

Grill/Griddle

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp onion powder until well combined.

  2. Form beef into 3 tsp-sized meat balls, flatten to the size of sliders and press the middle of patties with thumb to create an indent (keeps shape uniform). Season outside of each patty with more salt and pepper, to taste.

  3. Place Grill/Griddle plate on Cooker and touch the STEAK button. Touch the - / + to adjust desired temperature.

  4. Once heated, brush grill and griddle plate and wait 2 minutes before adding patties. Working in batches as needed.

  5. Sear the patties for 2-3 minutes and flip to cook the other side. Add the cheese slices right after flipping the patties, then reduce temperature to 120°C-130°C. Cover with lid, cook for another 2-3 minutes until desired doneness and the cheese is melted.

  6. Remove patties, grill slider buns slightly. Serve patties on slider buns with desired condiments.
