Homemade Salsa

Serves:

14 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1¼ lbs ripe Roma tomatoes, about 5-6

  • 1 can petite diced tomatoes

  • ½ medium onion, chopped

  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded (optional for more heat) and roughly chopped

  • A handful of fresh cilantro

  • 1 large garlic clove, roughly chopped

  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • ¼ tsp ground cumin

  • ½ tsp granulated sugar (optional)

  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until all ingredients are finely chopped.

  2. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours for more flavour.

  3. Serve with your favourite dishes.

  4. May store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
