Bacon, Blue Cheese, Brie, and Basil Panini

4 Panini

Ingredients

  • 115g Brie cheese, sliced

  • 55g crumbled blue cheese

  • 8 strips of cooked bacon

  • 8 fresh basil leaves

  • 1 French baguette, cut into 4 portions

Preparation

Closed Position

Plates: Grill


  1. Place grill plates onto the Grill Master and preheat both to 210°C by touching the SANDWICH button or touch TEMP once and – button to desired temperature. Touch OK to start preheating.

  2. Cook bacon strips, remove and set aside.

  3. For each sandwich, slice off the rounded top of a baguette portion to create a flat grilling surface. Split baguette in half with serrated knife. For the bottom half, lay a thin layer of Brie slices and sprinkle about a tablespoon of blue cheese on top. Add 2 basil leaves, 2 bacon strips, more blue cheese, and more Brie. Close the sandwich with top half.

  4. Grill two panini at a time with the Closed position, until the cheese is melted, and baguettes are toasted, 4-5 minutes (set timer to desired duration).

  5. Remove and serve warm.
